Verity's Ark FAQ
(Add a question in here, and I'll try to get an answer up ASAP)
Q) What is VA?
A) Verity's Ark is a webcomic drawn by Elaine Escher. It can be found at www.veritycomic.com (or click the 'comic' link on the left.
Q) When does VA update?
A) I'm very busy at the moment, so the comic updates irregularly. I aim to get a page up every week, but sometimes it can be twice that. Update frequency WILL improve, I promise, but it might be a while.
Q) Is VA a "Furry" comic?
A) Many of the key characters are anthropomorphic animals, but the comic is not exclusively furry, and future stories will revolve around humans and other non-furry characters.
Q) Who owns these characters?
A) Several characters in the comic were created by friends of the artist. Most notably Isegrim, Sabe, Mara and Larzuk do not belong to the artist and are used with permission.
Pretty much everybody else belongs to the artist.
Q) Can my character be in the comic? Do you do cameos?
A) Actually, yes, but the story is mostly written well ahead of the comics appearing, so any appearances will be way in the future. The comic website will advertise if and when there is space for new characters and cameos.
Q) What does the title mean?
A) Verity's world is a pocket dimension created as part of a roleplay ran by the artist many many years ago. A jumbled mini-universe of mixed timelines, monsters, magic and science, the junior goddess Verity had created the perfect setting for a comic.
Q) I want more! Is there any VA merchandise?
A) Yes, currently there are Bacon Brothers mousemats on sale, £5 each to the UK (about ten dollars to the US, plus postage). The artist also makes individual items and images for sale. The comic website is due for an update, and will include a Store page for more information.
